The AWRC is delighted to announce the screening and UK premiere of the feature length documentary film "Bronze Age Apocalypse" which has previously aired on mainstream media in the US (Science Channel under the title "Ancient Armageddon"), France, and Japan. The film draws together a wide range of scholarship to tell the story of the systemic collapse of states and civilisations around the eastern Mediterranean region at the beginning of the 12th Century BCE. With compelling CGI animation, the story is a cautionary one for the many challenges humanity faces today. The film includes AWRC member Christoph Bachhuber as a specialist commentator, who is filmed on location in Turkey.

The screening features in person conversations with the director and producer Katie Reisz (also a University of Oxford, CAAH graduate) and the associate producer Christina Tsouparopoulou, and will be followed by a drinks reception in the Wolfson Cafe.

For catering purposes, please register attendance by Monday, 16th October, 5 pm by writing to ancient.world@wolfson.ox.ac.uk.
