My research explores the deep history of the human mind through Palaeolithic material culture. Integrating Material Engagement Theory and 4E cognition, I analyse subtraction technologies, mainly flintknapping, as observable cognitive processes, investigating how material affordances, conscious decision-making, and the maker's perceptual experience are embodied in an object's final form.
