I study Roman art, especially sculpture and engraved gems, and the religion of the Western Roman provinces with an emphasis on Roman Britain. Amongst other projects this summer I have been working on intaglios from the fort bathhouse at Carlisle and a Roma veneered jewel box from a villa near Colchester.
