The Tim and Kathy Clayden Fund
This fund supports postgraduate students studying topics in the Ancient Near East.
For the purposes of this fund the Ancient Near East is defined as ancient Mesopotamia (including Syria, south-eastern Turkey, south-western Iran and the Gulf countries) before the Parthian period.
Applications are invited from students enrolled in the degree of DPhil at the University of Oxford on a topic related to the Ancient Near East for a Tim and Kathy Clayden Bursary (up to £600) for financial support in the final stages of preparing their thesis for submission. Letters of application should be sent, with a CV, by Friday of 3rd week in Hilary Term (02 February 2024) to the AWRC Administrator at ancient.world@wolfson.ox.ac.uk.
Applications are invited from students enrolled in any university on a topic related to the Ancient Near East for grants (up to £200) for travel to Oxford to participate in the annual Oxford Postgraduate Conference in Assyriology (OPCA).
